“The Biology of Belief” by BRUCE H. LIPTON, PH.D
This a book that needs to be red.
This is a book that really shifts the way the world could be understood. Everything in the universe is connected and Newton-like science has proven to leave so many doors opened that it can not be taken as final truth.
The real power of thoughts
I think we all have heard about the placebo effect. But do we really understand what it is. It is healing with our beliefs. That`s it. If we believe a drug is going to get us well, it will. But as much there exists placebo effect there is also a nocebo effect. Negative thinking creates negative experience.
I think it always helps when our intuition is proven by science. And this is what this book is all about.
Dr. Bruce Lipton is an American developmental biologist best known for promoting the idea that gene expression can be influenced (via epigenetics) by environmental factors, people have a greater impact on their health than genetic research has previously determined.
His experiments, and that of other leading-edge scientists, have examined in great detail the processes by which cells receive information. The implications of this research radically change our understanding of life. It shows that genes and DNA do not control our biology. Instead, DNA is controlled by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our positive and negative thoughts.
In this book he explains why just believing and saying positive affirmations won`t probably make any positive change. We need to have access to our subconscious mind.
In the early age, when a child`s consciousness has not yet developed entirely, it is very important how the parents choose to express themselves as the description of child`s “me” is under development. When negative comments get recorded in the subconscious mind then these “truths” begin to have impact in that childs future. So all the parents reading this, be so very aware what and how you communicate to your child because he or she will become exaclty that.
When we become older higher frequencies will occure in the brain and we become less influenced by the outside programming. Our reasoning mind grows stronger and can differentiate different circumstances. But as a five year old kid all that happens is translated into very simple statements, as I am not good enough, I don`t deserve to be loved because I am bad etc.
So we have two sources that form our subconscious mind, first, genetically programmed instincts and secondly acquired beliefs from our parents. Those two can actually make all of our positive thinking pointless.
In this book Dr. Bruce Lipton described absolutely wonderfully how to grow a child who wouldn`t need reprogramming in the future. This is a biggest gift anyone could make for their kids. The book goes even further and describes how prenatal time should also be taken into consideration. The thoughts and feelings of both parents are very important, during and before pregnancy.
Most of our gynecologists during the prenatal time only care about what the mother is eating, is she taking vitamins and is she being active enough. But shouldn`t they be asking what are the women thinking and feeling? The child is born into a world that it`s mother believes in. This is actually too important to miss.
Shouldn`t doctors generally be asking that question. What and how are you thinking that got you here? But most of them don`t even ask what are you eating that got you here.
We as humans, have the ability to take our lives into our responsibility. We can create the world we desire. We can consciously start to understand from where our behavior is coming and change it. But change has to be done within harmony with yourself.
